Lida Azim currently serves as a Program Director for America Indivisible. She is also the cofounder of Afghans for a Better Tomorrow, an organization dedicated bring about transformative change for Afghans in and beyond the United States.
Lida is originally from the Bay Area in California, where she discovered her passion for giving back to the Musli m and Afghan-American communities. Her writing has been published in Newsweek and has been cited in Al Jazeera, Vox, LA Times, and Business Insider, among other media outlets globally. Lida majored at San Jose State University with a B.A. in Political Science and History and furthered her education at American University with an M.A. in International and Intercultural Communication. She hopes to continue to work towards a better space for understanding and acceptance for not only Muslims but those who are perceived to be Muslim.
